IQ Law Enforcement Outreach

This Wednesday, June 29, from 1-2 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, the Installation Quality (IQ) program will sponsor a Law Enforcement Outreach Webinar. Why should you sign in?

If you read this blog regularly, you likely own or work for a company in the electronic security industry. You know that for an alarm system to be effective, a response is required from a well-trained professional law enforcement officer. Far too frequently though, we in the industry find out too late when local laws and policies are changed. We then play catch up, trying to undo restrictive policies and ordinances, rather than engaging local officials early on in the process.

This IQ webinar, featuring SIAC’s own Ron Walters, will address multiple issues in communicating effectively with both law enforcement and city councils on alarm ordinance issues. Ron, an industry vet, with long-term experience as a police officer as well, is uniquely qualified to discuss what works and what doesn’t when it comes to communicating with police departments and elected officials.

We need direct and open communication with law enforcement. Ron will take you step-by-step through a process to help your company or local/state association succeed in building a strong relationship with these officials.

You can reserve a webinar seat at: https://www3.gotomeeting.com/register/294149278
After registering you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the Webinar. If you have any questions, please contact the IQ office at 866-833-8302 or email at info@iqcertification.org.
